Tallil, Iraq

The Camp in south-central Iraq is a muddy, middle-of-nowhere place. The medics I work with when I'm in the ER setting are high speed, especially my two ortho techs. Unfortunately they are heading up to Baghdad soon. The medics from my unit that will replace these people will need big time training.

Everything is mud

Here it is cool, rainy; everything is mud.

My group is the medical piece for the entire base. I'm running a troop medical clinic and a small ER type operation. It's a bit anxiety provoking for me. Haven't done a lot of this stuff in years.

Camp Adder

Operating out of Camp Adder in February 2006, the 48th Brigade Combat Team's Iraq— Medical Community Assessment Program founded a temporary clinic in a nearby school, bringing basic medical services to the Iraqi people where none existed before.
